Ríos goes 4-for-4, Rails Move to 66-29
|
The Richland Rails knocked off the San Bernardino Grasshoppers, 9-4, at Field of the Grasshoppers. Roberto Ríos, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Richland won. The left fielder was 4-4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Richland leads the Menard's AA by 10 games.
Daryl Moran was a key contributor to the win for the Rails. In the top of the sixth with two out, the light-hitting right fielder stroked a single to right. He went 3 for 5 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"This was a good win for us," said Ríos. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."
