The Lancaster Farmers grabbed a 5-2 win over the Billings Polar Bears at The Igloo. Lancaster catcher Rodrigo Velasco went 2-2 with a double and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs to earn player of the game honors. Paco Peña was the winner. Over 6 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 9 hits, with 1 walk and 2 strikeouts. António Torrez closed the game out for Lancaster, earning his 7th save.
Also having an impact was center fielder Brad Tillman, who stroked a 2-run single in the top of the third for Lancaster. For the game, Tillman was 2 for 5 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"I thought we played a nice game," Velasco told the Lancaster Herald. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
With the victory, the Farmers record now stands at 14-15.
