Billings second baseman Bernard Gauthier made his presence felt in the 9-1 Polar Bears triumph over the Lancaster Farmers. Gauthier went 2-2 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Wyatt Meek earned the save for Billings, his 1st of the year. At 14-14, Billings is in 6th place in the Menard's AA.
The game turned with one out in the bottom of the fourth when Gauthier, who is tied for 8th in the 3AA in bases on balls with 16, hit a 2-run single. It propelled the Polar Bears into the lead, 2-1.
"It all depends on which version of our team shows up," said Gauthier. "When we put it all together, I think we're a great team."
