Westwood pitcher Joe Griffin gave the Rails all they could handle, but in the end, Richland left Rails Ballpark with a 1-0 win. Griffin allowed 1 earned run on 4 hits over 5.1 innings. An Jang-Yop, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 4th save. The second-place Rails are now 15-8, the Sixshooters 13-10.

It could have been a different outcome for Richland, had it not been for Roberto Ríos, the 25-year old center fielder . Ríos contributed a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the third inning to put Richland up, 1-0.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Ríos said.
