Fighting Dachsunds Beat Drummers, 3-1
|
Behind a solid performance from catcher Ramiro Rico, the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds defeated the Tortolita Drummers, 3-1. Rico was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk for the Fighting Dachsunds. Tom Bowen, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save. The Fighting Dachsunds improved to 15-18.
Also contributing to the win was shortstop Victor Haley, who stroked a run-scoring single in the bottom of the second for Ellenburg. For the game, Haley was 1-4.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Ellenburg manager Armando Saldaña.
