Supernovas Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
|
Scranton Supernovas starter Sammy Nash turned in a top-notch performance against the Brinkley Belugas at Nuclear Stadium. The result was a win for the Supernovas, 2-0. Scranton reliever Pedro Garza picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Alonso Cruz was saddled with the loss. The Scranton Supernovas have an impressive 52-30 record.
Scranton won the game in the bottom of the 13th inning. That's when shortstop Jim Unknown hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Supernovas fans to their feet.
"We'll savor this win," Nash told the Scranton Gazette, "then get ready for the next game."
