Port Royal beat Santa Barbara on the strength of starter Bryan Boyd's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 8-2 win. Their 37-40 record puts the Disaster 7th in the Menard's AAA.
Arsenio Sameiro's at-bat in the top of the third was significant, coming with runners on 1st and 2nd and the game tied, 1-1. The Port Royal first baseman hit a run-scoring single off Jason Troughton to put the Disaster up.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Davis Burt said.
