Valentín Helps Lake Monsters Run Win Streak to 4
The Vermont Lake Monsters downed the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes, 11-6, at Monster Field. Manny Valentín led the way, going 4-for-5 for Vermont. Vermont reliever Jorge Ayala picked up the win to move to 1-0. Alex Simmons suffered the loss. With their winning streak at 4, the Vermont Lake Monsters have raced to a strong start this season.

Valentín had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the third. On a 1-1 fastball from Alex Simmons, he banged a 2-run home run to center, giving the Lake Monsters a 3-2 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Valentín.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Valentín.
