Neely Slams 5 Hits for Detroit
Somedays you can't win for losing. Just ask Michael Neely. He was the King of Swing in the game against the Rangers, but his Renaissance were beaten 4-3 anyway. The Detroit designated hitter stepped into the batter's box 5 times against the Austin and delivered 5 hits. It was a sensational game for him.

He excitedly told the press, "Unbelieveable feeling. It felt great on the one hand, but a downer at the same time. 5-for-5! It does wonders for your batting average. But it's a shame we couldn't win it, too."

Michael Neely singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Juan Valéncia in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 10th.
