Cattlemen Knock Off Wizarding at The Cattle Pen
Ft. Worth played host to Wizarding at the friendly confines of The Cattle Pen.

Júlio Maldonado was instrumental in his team's 7-2 triumph over the Wizarding Express. The designated hitter went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Ft. Worth Cattlemen. Paul Díaz earned the win for Ft. Worth. He lasted 8 innings, allowing 2 earned runs on 8 hits, while striking out 6. With the win, he raised his record to 8-8.

Maldonado came through with some timely hitting for Ft. Worth. With the score 2-1 in the bottom of the sixth and one down, Maldonado hit a 0-2 cutter for a 2-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season -- and a big reason the Cattlemen managed to win.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Ft. Worth manager Scott Thompson. "Our pregame was pretty good."

The Cattlemen own a robust 47-57 mark.
