League Issues 9-Game Suspensions for Brawl Saturday, July 20th, 2024 "I don't think I did anything wrong. I think my actions were justified." Those were the words of Chesapeake's Miguel Cruz after a game between the Continentals and Swallows, which featured a benches-clearing fight. The league did not agree, however. Both Cruz and the Swallows Martin García will be suspended 9 games because of their actions. So far this season Cruz is hitting .229 with 1 home run, 15 RBIs and 28 runs scored. He has 51 hits in 223 at-bats and a .271 OBP. This year García has a 0-0 record with a 4.64 ERA. |
