Langley Pitches Youth to Shutout Victory Sunday, September 1st, 2024 In an excellent mound performance, Melvin Langley of the Phoenix Hotspur Youth whitewashed the Lancaster Farmers 6-0 on a 4-hitter. He said after the game, "I had my best stuff and did a good job of mixing up my pitches." The Lancaster manager said, "We just didn't swing the bats well today. Langley did a good job keeping us guessing." In all, the Phoenix Hotspur hurler rang up 3 strikeouts and no walks in the shutout win. In 10 starts this season Langley has notched a 2-4 record and a 4.14 ERA. |
