BC Chill Valdéz's Hot Streak Saturday, September 14th, 2024 The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks lost to the San Antonio BC 6-5 today at San Antonio Field, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Ramón Valdéz's 21-game hitting streak. "We felt if we could slow down Valdéz, we would win the game," the BC manager explained after the game. "They really seemed to feed off of his streak, so we really wanted to make sure they had nothing to feed off of." In his 2024 season totals, Valdéz has 4 home runs, .262 BA, .298 OBP, 29 RBIs and 38 runs scored. |
