Cisneros Slaps 5 Hits Sunday, July 28th, 2024 It was a hits blitz for Jesús Cisneros at Virginia Beach Grounds. The Salem Misfits center fielder tore into Virginia Beach for 5 hits in 5 at-bats to pace the Misfits to a 9-3 victory and to put up a career day. The manager for the Deuces bemoaned his pitching, saying, "We fell behind and weren't locating well. Once you get behind in the count, you have to make real good pitches, rather than good pitches, and we weren't able to do that today." He added, "Not to take anything away from Cisneros, but bad location was the story of the ballgame. That's why we lost the game." Jesús Cisneros singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. In his 2024 season totals, Cisneros has 1 home run, .315 BA, .386 OBP, 23 RBIs and 44 runs scored. |
