"I thought he put the ball where he wanted to," the Sioux Falls manager said. "And that's just about the whole secret to pitching." Gómez yielded 5 hits and had 4 strikeouts and 3 walks in a standout performance. Thus far this season Gómez has compiled a 4-2 record, made 6 relief appearances with 2 saves, hurling 51 innings and striking out 27. He has held the opposition to a .260 batting average with a 3.18 ERA. |
