Third League Names Top Player Wednesday, October 30th, 2024 Héctor Torres took Menard's Third League by storm this year and he did it all at the age of 24. For his spectacular campaign, the Philadelphia 1776 BC star has been named the 2024 Third League Outstanding Hitter Award recipient. "To be considered amongst the best in the league is pretty overwhelming," said the left fielder. On the season he compiled a .317 batting average to go with a .363 on-base percentage. The native of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic also added 23 doubles, no triples, 27 home runs, 87 RBIs and 76 runs scored.
