3L Player of the Week Named Monday, September 16th, 2024 Few players his age are still in the league, but Thom Wilcox of the Brooklyn Dodgers clearly loves the game and clearly he can still get the job done. Last week the 36-year-old second baseman hit the ball with the consistency of someone ten years younger, which made Wilcox a popular and well-deserved selection as Third League Player of the Week. He paced the Dodgers attack by putting up a .529 batting average, 9 hits in 17 at-bats, 5 RBIs and 2 home runs. Wilcox also scored 2 runs. This season Wilcox is batting .310 with 12 home runs. |
