Villa Whitewashes Tula Thursday, August 1st, 2024 Eduardo Villa of Gwinnett County easily handled the Chicago Tula, stopping them on 3 hits and chucking a complete-game 5-0 shutout. "He really did a job on us," said the Chicago manager. "He had good command of his pitches. He changed speeds well and pretty much confused us. We never could zero in on him, but he certainly zeroed in on us." Villa said, "Everything was working for me. Throwing my breaking stuff over the plate was big." He finished the game with 4 strikeouts and 1 walk in a solid outing. So far this season Villa has compiled a 3-8 record with a 3.53 ERA. |
