Groves Takes SA #1 Pitcher Trophy Sunday, September 1st, 2024 In August Nebraska starter Sam Groves mystified USSL Single A hitters and carried off the Pitcher of the Month honors by chalking up a 5-0 record in 5 starts. The 21-year-old Groves added 39 strikeouts in 40.2 innings and 9 walks to his season record and compiled a 2.88 ERA. Opposing batters hit .236 against him. In 20 starts this season Groves has chalked up a 13-5 record and a 2.47 ERA. |
