League Punishes Pair for Fighting Friday, August 30th, 2024 Nobody was hurt in a confrontation yesterday between the Hotspur U-21 Roberto Fierro and the Storm Alfonso Dolton as both benches cleared during the fracas at Hotspur Kiddie Complex. It appeared that there were a few punches thrown before the players could be separated. Today the league commissioner took action. The league decided to punish the guilty parties. Roberto Fierro and Alfonso Dolton will each have to sit out 5-game suspensions for their roles in this fight. So far in 2024 Fierro is batting .262 with 3 home runs, 41 RBIs and 38 runs scored. He has 93 hits in 355 at-bats and a .337 OBP. This season Dolton has worked 28.2 innings with 29 strikeouts en route to a 1-1 record and a 5.97 ERA. |
