Tavárez Shuts out Bellevue Sunday, June 16th, 2024 Pedro Tavárez was sneaky fast, on the mark and hard to hit today. He blanked the Bellevue Bruins 4-0 on 4 hits and had no walks and 6 strikeouts. "You know what he's going to throw. You know what to expect. And you still can't hit it," the Bellevue skipper told reporters after the shutout loss to the Highwood Hawks. "He just had a real deceptive fastball today and he was throwing it for strikes." In 8 starts this season Tavárez has fashioned a 4-2 record and a 3.28 ERA. |
