League Suspends Hill and Sherratt for Fisticuffs Sunday, May 19th, 2024 It was quite a row yesterday at Hawks Field. The Hawks James Hill and the 1787 BC David Sherratt backed up their angry words with a few shoves and a few swings. Then both dugouts raced onto the field and got involved in the fracas. When it was over, only Hill and Sherratt were ejected. As expected they were informed by the league office that they would each have to serve 8-game suspensions for their inappropriate actions. This year Hill has batted at a .304 pace with 14 hits, no home runs, 2 RBIs and scored 2 times. Running the numbers on Sherratt for the year, he has made 6 relief appearances, recorded 1 save and compiled a 0-1 won-lost mark with a 1.29 ERA. In pitching 7 innings, he has totaled 9 strikeouts and 3 walks. |
