King of the Hill Announced by USSL Double A Saturday, October 7th, 2023 He's in the early phase of his career, but this past season Pat Hunt performed like a veteran on the hill for the Irving Blue Sox and walked away with the USSL Double A Outstanding Pitcher Award in the process. The 25-year-old Blue Sox star fashioned a 9-12 won-loss record in 2023 with a 3.08 ERA. In 158 innings of work and 29 starts, Hunt struck out 156 while giving up 139 hits and 52 walks. He held opposing batters to a .234 average. Logan Gregory of the Chesapeake Continentals finished second in voting, while Gabriel Hernández of the Phoenix Hotspur Youth finished third. |
