SAA Player of the Week Awarded Monday, August 7th, 2023 Jeff Rutherford burst onto the USSL Double A stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie first baseman for Virginia Beach garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy. The 22-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .538 (7-for-13) with 2 home runs and 5 RBIs last week. On the season, Rutherford is batting .344 with 9 home runs and 35 RBIs. He has played in 73 games. |
