Maldonado Batters Salem for 5 Hits Tuesday, May 9th, 2023 The Polar Bears whipped the Misfits 11-4 at The Igloo and Arturo Maldonado had a big hand in the win. The Polar Bears right fielder came to the plate 5 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for Maldonado and a tough day for Salem. "I just go up there and whale away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan." Plan or not, Maldonado delivered today -- 5-for-5 is outstanding in any league. Arturo Maldonado singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Maldonado is currently hitting at a .500 pace with no home runs, 3 RBIs and has scored 10 times. |
