Herons Thompson Tames Westwood Wednesday, August 30th, 2023 According to Don Thompson of the Glendale Herons, "There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location." He told his pitching philosophy to sportswriters in the postgame interview after his 8-0 victory over Westwood. He blanked them on a 6-hitter, allowed 1 walk and had 1 strikeout. "I really felt comfortable the whole game," Thompson said. His manager echoed his comments, saying, "He hit his spots time and time again." Over the season Thompson has thrown 66.2 innings and dished out 31 strikeouts with a 3-3 mark and a 5.67 ERA. |
