Manager Rodríguez Told to Take a Hike by Bangor Trident Base Sunday, September 17th, 2023 The future of the Bangor Trident Base Ogres will not include Juan Rodríguez. Much-criticized for his in-game managing by local scribes of late, Rodríguez has been fired as manager of the Ogres. The decision is believed to have been made primarily by the team's owner, who was always quick to publicly criticize Rodríguez's decisions on the field and in the clubhouse. When reached at his home in Bangor Trident Base, the owner said the decision was made "in the best interest of the team," but he refused to elaborate on the specific reasons which led to the firing. Rodríguez told BNN he plans to explore his options for another job in baseball. "I'll miss Bangor Trident Base and I'll miss the Ogres, but I won't miss having everything I do second-guessed," he said. |
