Álvarez Nabs PAAA Weekly Award Monday, August 28th, 2023 22-year-old Carlos Álvarez made a few Royse City headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and USPL Triple A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 5 hits in 7 at-bats to put up a .714 average. Álvarez collected 3 home runs, 5 RBIs and scored 4 runs. So far this season Álvarez is hitting .320 with 15 home runs, 41 RBIs and 33 runs scored. He has 47 hits in 147 at-bats and a .454 OBP. |
