Hit for Bywaters a Record-Breaker Saturday, September 23rd, 2023 Kyle Bywaters of the Detroit Renaissance is an amazing hit machine. Today he passed the legendary Arnold Griffith with his 153th hit, establishing a new league single-season mark. Bywaters commenting on what his new record means to him, he said, "It means I helped my team win a lot of games this year. That's the important thing." Kyle Bywaters singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and singled in the 9th. This season Bywaters has delivered 153 hits in 465 at-bats for a .329 average with 3 home runs. He is getting on base at a .371 clip and his totals also include 36 RBIs and 70 runs scored.
