SAAA Gives Outstanding Pitcher Award Friday, October 7th, 2022 The Outstanding Pitcher Award for 2022 has been presented and the USSL Triple A winner is Jimmy Whittier of Augusta. "It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Whittier. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Timber Hawks star told reporters. Whittier excelled with an impressive 13-8 record in 25 starts. In 172.2 innings he yielded 131 hits and 55 walks, while striking out 125 and compiling a fine 3.08 ERA. Víctor García of the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds finished second in voting, while Andrew Hayes of the Jersey City Sun Caps finished third. |
