Freitas 5-for-5 Against Houston Tuesday, July 12th, 2022 History in the making. That's what the fans at Ballpark of Wilmington got to see today, when Wilmington outplayed the BC 15-7. Manny Freitas of the Bay Hawks came to the plate 5 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 5 hits against Houston. In the postgame press conference the Houston skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the kitchen sink." Manny Freitas singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Luis Ramírez in the 7th and singled in the 8th. For the year Freitas is hitting .314 with 1 home run. His stats include 6 runs batted in and 6 runs scored. |
