Carea Wins PA Prize, Named Best Hitter in August Thursday, September 1st, 2022 Freddy Carea may be much younger than other hitters in the USPL Single A, but he performed like a seasoned veteran in August to win the Batter of the Month award. The 21-year-old Mancelona first baseman hit .349 with 3 home runs, 15 RBIs and 10 runs scored. Carea is hitting .293 this season with 10 home runs, 54 RBIs and 42 runs scored. He has 102 hits in 348 at-bats. |
