5-for-6 Game for Minor Thursday, August 18th, 2022 The Herons were defeated 6-5 today at The Heron Refuge by the Torch, but you can't say Ferris Minor didn't give it his best try. The Herons right fielder came to the plate 6 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for Minor and a tough day for Hammond. "I just go up there and swing away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan." No plan or not, Minor delivered today... 5-for-6 is outstanding in any league. Ferris Minor singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, walked in the 7th, singled in the 9th, singled in the 11th and grounded out in the 14th. For the season Minor has produced 21 hits in 69 at-bats for a .304 average with 1 home run and gotten on base at a .407 clip. |
