Marshall Grabs PL Reliever of the Year Award Friday, October 28th, 2022 The manager of the Chicago Gold Sox said he always had confidence handing the ball to Denny Marshall out of the bullpen. The 32-year-old was a dominant performer all year for Chicago and his efforts have been rewarded with the Premier League Reliever of the Year Award for 2022. The bullpen ace had an impressive 1.81 ERA this season, with 28 saves in 37 relief appearances. He fanned 70 batters in 69.2 innings and sported a record of 3 wins and 2 losses. Gene Kirkland of the Athletic Club KC finished second in voting, while Kyung-un Yi of the Boston Patriots finished third. |
