5 Hits for Smoke Esparza Friday, August 19th, 2022 Atlanta right fielder Armando Esparza really lit up the Buckhead Bowties with a 5-hit barrage today at Buckhead Grounds -- a performance that sparked the Smoke to a 12-10 triumph. He shrugged off the performance after the game and said, "Sometimes the ball finds outfielders, today the ball found some holes." Armando Esparza singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 8th, hit an RBI double in the 9th and singled in the 11th. In 83 games this year Esparza has posted a .304 average and put up these numbers: 8 home runs, 43 RBIs and 46 runs scored. |
