League Suspends Marroquín and Mleczko for Fisticuffs Saturday, July 16th, 2022 After an intense confrontation, both the Bowties Enrique Marroquín and the Hotspur Feliks Mleczko were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Buckhead-Phoenix game. Both players will miss 3 games as a result of their actions. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Enrique Marroquín commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." This year Marroquín has batted at a .304 pace with 62 hits, 2 home runs, 18 RBIs and scored 27 times. This season Mleczko has been credited with no saves. In 26 relief appearances and 38 innings he has a 1-2 won-lost mark, 3.08 ERA and 23 strikeouts |
