Godwin Runs Hit String to 30 Straight Games Sunday, August 22nd, 2021 Dan Godwin's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 30 games. The Durham center fielder smacked 3 hits against Westwood in today's game at Sixshooters Stadium to extend it, but he has mixed emotions about it. After losing to the Westwood Sixshooters, Godwin told reporters, "I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose." Dan Godwin hit a two-run triple in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This season Godwin has delivered 99 hits in 333 at-bats for a .297 average with 1 home run. He is getting on base at a .323 clip and his totals also include 37 RBIs and 40 runs scored. This year Godwin has played in 81 games. |
