Torres of Nortonville Crowned Best Player Monday, July 12th, 2021 So far in his young career, Claudio Torres has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the M3L Double A in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 25-year-old Nortonville Cherokees first baseman hit at a torrid .625 clip as he collected 5 hits in 8 at-bats, 2 home runs, 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored. This year Torres is batting .271 with 26 hits, 3 home runs, 14 RBIs, 18 walks, .383 OBP and has scored 22 runs. |
