PAAA's Best Pitcher is Saikawa Wednesday, October 6th, 2021 The Outstanding Pitcher Award for 2021 has been presented and the USPL Triple A winner is Tomiji Saikawa of Bakersfield. "It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Saikawa. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Nobles star told reporters. Saikawa excelled with an impressive 18-0 record in 20 starts. In 165.1 innings he yielded 136 hits and 48 walks, while striking out 111 and compiling a fine 1.74 ERA. Jeff Sloan of the Bakersfield Nobles finished second in voting, while Fernando González of the Bakersfield Nobles finished third. |
