Alarcon Shuts out Cattlemen Thursday, September 16th, 2021 In an outstanding outing, Héctor Alarcon tamed Ft. Worth on a 2-hit shutout. The Capital District hurler went the distance, finishing with 7 strikeouts and 3 walks in the 8-0 win. "He had a lot of first pitch strikes and kept us off balance with a lot of off-speed stuff," according to the Ft. Worth manager. "We just didn't get too many balls squared up today." Alarcon has taken the mound for no relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 10-6 record with a 2.99 ERA. The Capital District reliever has limited opposing batters to a .220 batting average. |
