River Rats Blank Harrisburg, Pérez Winner Thursday, August 19th, 2021 Tobías Pérez effectively shut down the Harriers today, blanking them 6-0 on 5 hits, ringing up 7 strikeouts and allowing 1 walk. The River Rats pitcher appeared to get stronger as the game went on. "I don't know if I was getting any stronger," Pérez said after the game, "I feel like my mechanics were getting better. I was able to make some adjustments and get a little more comfortable out there." The Harriers skipper said, "We had some opportunities, but weren't able to execute. We just didn't swing the bats very well today." To this point in the season, Pérez shows a 9-8 record, 19 starts, 145.2 innings, 150 strikeouts and a 2.35 ERA. |
