"It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Hines. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Dodgers star told reporters. Hines excelled with an impressive 16-6 record in 24 starts. In 200.1 innings he yielded 113 hits and 57 walks, while striking out 249 and compiling a fine 1.48 ERA. Jesús Gonzáles of the Richardson City Thundercats finished second in voting, while Sozen Raikatuji of the Boston Patriots finished third. |
