Gustavo Varela Gets Diagnosis, Out 4-5 Months Saturday, July 18th, 2020 Gustavo Varela could soon be placed on the disabled list. The Chesapeake center fielder told reporters that he expects to be "out of commission" for 4-5 months because of a torn labrum. He hasn't played since 07/16/2020 and, he said, he's "itchin' to get back out there." Presently Varela is batting .313 and has collected 6 home runs, 31 RBIs, .355 OBP and scored 35 runs. |
