Westwood Bats Silenced by López Thursday, July 2nd, 2020 Jesús López of the Glendale Herons spun his magic on the Westwood Sixshooters today. He blanked them 3-0 on 4 hits, registering 6 strikeouts and 1 walk. "The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," López said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down." Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, the Glendale skipper said, "We got solid pitching, good defense and we took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations. This was just a solid performance by everyone." López has fashioned a 3-4 mark for the season, 3.72 ERA and thrown 58 innings in 9 starts. Opposing clubs are batting .253 against him. |
