Stuart #1 SAA Pitcher in August Tuesday, September 1st, 2020 There's something about a young rookie winning the USSL Double A Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Paul Stuart, a 22-year-old starter for the Phoenix Hotspur Youth. In August, he topped off the month with a 5-1 mark and 3.02 ERA in 6 starts, tossed 50.2 innings, fanned 42 and held opposing teams to a .268 average. So far this season, Stuart has logged a 12-4 record with a 2.78 ERA. He has started 19 games, hurled 145.2 innings and registered 124 strikeouts and 58 walks. |
