Gutiérrez Crowned Batter of the Month in August Tuesday, September 1st, 2020 Omar Gutiérrez is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the Durham center fielder joined that select company when the USSL Double A announced the results of August's voting. Gutiérrez totaled 32 hits, 11 walks, 11 home runs, 26 RBIs and 20 runs scored last month to put together a .386 batting average and .469 on-base percentage. For the year Gutiérrez is batting .347 with 121 hits and 25 home runs. He has scored 70 times and driven in 88. |
