SAA Player of the Week, Méndez of Helena Monday, August 24th, 2020 Alfredo Méndez burst onto the USSL Double A stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie third baseman for Helena garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy. The 19-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .500 (10-for-20) with no home runs and 4 RBIs last week. This year Méndez is hitting .308 with no home runs and 16 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .377 clip and scored 14 runs. |
