Granados Shuts out Swords Wednesday, September 16th, 2020 José Granados had the Viola Swords dancing to his tune today with a sparkling 18-0 shutout performance for the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves. He gave up 1 hit, issued 4 walks and had 9 strikeouts. Viola hitters were bewildered throughout the game by his delivery. The opposing manager said, "When you face a guy who hides the ball like he does, it takes a couple of at-bats to try to find his release point. We just never figured him out." To this point in the season, Granados shows a 14-5 record, 24 starts, 166.1 innings, 169 strikeouts and a 3.25 ERA. |
