Horiuchi Outstanding, No-Hits Northern Lions BC Wednesday, September 23rd, 2020 In a brilliant performance at Lumberjacks Ballpark, Kingston Township pitcher Shigemasa Horiuchi entered an elite group today by tossing a no-hitter against the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC. Hurling a complete game he fanned 8 and walked 2 in the 6-0 victory. In the clubhouse, Horiuchi said, "I was getting my off-speed stuff over so they couldn't sit on the fastball. My guys made some nice plays behind me, too, and cut off several hits." On the season Horiuchi has 16 wins and 2 losses and a 1.55 ERA. |
