León Pérez to Retire
Sunday, June 7th, 2020
León Pérez, the 18-year-old center fielder for the Idaho Falls Chukars, has decided to retire from baseball. He recently had been receiving medical treatment for a torn labrum. The injury not only will end his season, but also his career. "I have no regrets," said Pérez. "I gave it all I had." The sport will sorely miss Pérez and his contributions.

This year Pérez has collected a .300 batting average to date with 12 hits in 40 at-bats, 4 RBIs, no home runs and scored 3 times. He has played in 9 games.
